Title says it. Was a double pull Exp and TU.. Got hit with the Exp Pull friday and went to 7-10 days. Had to get some travel credit taken care of yesterday so called JPM EO line and did that business and asked them about IHG application and declined as expected due to 7-10 day message. So I called recon today and actually the reason of the denial is they couldn't pull TU due to freeze and I said you guys pulled Exp and they had no record of that... Long story short I ended that call and unfrooze my TU report with tons of inquiries. Called back and let them have at my TU report. He the analyst put me on hold for about 2 mins while they pulled TU, got alerted and within 2 mins. I was expecting since I called reconsideration it would be a long drawn out battle for 30+ mins about new accounts etc., but he came back right away and said approved at the best APR offered for this card which I was shocked as well on at 16.xx apr. I assume it might of been instant approval as 0 questions were asked about new accounts, inquiries etc.. Or possibly I have multiple high annual fee cards with Chase aka CSR and Ritz and have paid them multiple years so they know I am not just grabbing the bonus and running then cancelling before the AF hits the next year like many do. Anyways, who knows the real reason. Not super excited about the SL, but it is useable and can move limits around if needed. About 50kish exposure with Chase now. Was expecting a 15kish approval, but with my TU my worse report with still a few baddies showing I will take it and run. 18 inquires after this on TU. My next highest is Exp with 11. then Eq at 10. Will take the 80k points any day 
.. Add AU and get a few more, etc... 49 AF card with free night I can use although dont stay at IHG properties normally, can make exceptions to the rule .

I know you're not thrilled with the SL, but in this case it's all about the points - and you racked up there! 
(FWIW that's a very respectable SL considering your exposure with them... and you know how to play that game.)

Thanks all.. Was my least painful recon other than them saying they didn't pull Experian the first time (liars) and letting them have another pull, but suppose it was worth it as have enough TU inquiries, what is one more going to do. It is the AAoA hit the stings more.
