Not sure what would be considered higher end. I'm make little over 100k as a fine dining waiter, but run a small business on the side as well that may bring in 20-30k depending on the year.
What really bumped up my offers was my first AMEX Card. After doing a 3x CLI with my first AMEX card using the guides here, all the other banks followed with CLI's as well. Which at that point, AMEX also approved additional CLI's. And it has seemed to go back and forth. I'm currently at 125k in open credit, starting at around 30k a few years ago. It only took about 2-3 years to get there.
Since then, all the cards I apply for are around 20k SL.
