I applied for this card back in November and was immediately approved for $5,000. I paid the annual fee in December. In January, I had second thoughts of if I would get max benefit from the card so I moved $2500 CL to my Chase Freedon and $2000CL to my AARP and closed the Ritz card. I was not expecting the annual fee back but they mailed me a check about 3 weeks later for the $395.
Tonight I received a mail with an offer of 2 free nights at a Ritz Cartlton participating site for spending $3000 in 3 months, so I pulled the trigger again. My thought process was if approved I keep it for a year at least and see how work keeps going with travel quarterly or so. I figured the $395 would just about be the cost for 2 nights anyway.
I filled out the application and recieved a 30 day mesaage so I assumed it was a denial or further review. I receive a call for Chase Fraud no later than 10 minutes later and I verified the information he asked for. He put me on hold and processed the application. He came back in about 90 seconds with an APPROVAL for $17,000. I was so not expecting that.
This week I have been on a roll. $14,500 from BBVA, $17,000 from Chase and another $10,000 on a couple for furniture finanace cards I applied for through Syncrony today. Today I topped $225,000 in Credit (not including Diners Club for 10K).
Thank you everyone for the constant advice here and support. This site and people are amazing with the things shared. For example, I would of NEVER thought of receiving a $21,000 CLI last month from Navy Federal after only 3.5 months and a $4,000 starting limit on the Cash Rewards card on top of the $15,000 LOC. All that because of a post CreditAddict started and constantly updated as well as other users.
