What are the other 2?

In my view, the CSP is one of the top 3 overall credit cards available. After a few weeks and learning more of the card, I've decided the card is a keeper. The annual fee is well worth it, in my view.

Assuming primary spending on a single card, I'd say the PR Gold and SPG.
1. PR Gold has the 3X airfare. The MR program is still in my estimation a better program for flying since Amex always has periodic bonuses on transfers.
2. SPG has probably the best reward ratio per dollar spent if redeemed for "cash + points" at SPG properties.
Maybe I'd throw the Venture Rewards in there, but I find the UR program, MR, and SPG to be of better value than simply redeeming for a statement credit.
Edit - PS - Given the increased competition from the CSP (I'd imagine Chase is gaining market share from lots of Amex PR Gold users), I speculate Amex will have to offer no forex fee on their PR Gold if they're going to continue charging $175. At $95, the CSP is just a much better value, especially if they keep adding airlines.

Great story, congrats! I'm waiting through the 30-day message as I type this.
How long did you wait to call them after your app? When I call, they say they're still reviewing (different Chase card though).
Congrats again! This is my next card.

Re: Chase Sapphire Preferred APPROVED!
If they do I'll definitely apply for one. That forex fee right now is an absolute deal-breaker. Right now Amex is really falling down in that area. If they removed forex fees from the PRG and SPG, things would be evened up quite a bit.

Right, the forex is a deal breaker for a travel related card.
I'm probably going to end up with the CSP + SPG combination for my personal spending. Dining and travel on the CSP, and everything else that's non-forex related on the SPG.
Amex needs to examine their policy of only waiving the forex fees on the Platinum, especially since int'l acceptance isn't universal as it is with Visa/MC.
