I was "instantly approved" for the CSP. I applied online and was given the automated webpage message: “We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision as soon as possible.” But, I recieved an email at the same time stating I was approved.
Calling customer service, I found out SL $9000 with APR at %19.XX, and was able to expedite the card.
Context:
During my time overseas, I'll be reimbursed for travel purchases, and not obliged to use a company's travel portal. A quick calculation showed I'll easily make a $4000 SUB, but not over $6000 (no VenX).
So I decided to go with a CSP application since I had the previous history. I also considered the Citi premier, but I read many DP with Citi having IT issues and overly cautious with fraud. Citi premier does cover more bonus categories given my thin credit. Probably will go for Custom cash in 3 - 6 months.
Basic application stats:
- 0/6 (1 day and 1 month after past inquiry and new account), 1/12
- FICO 8 during the application, ~785 averaged across 3 bureaus.
- Oldest account age: 6.6 years
- Income: $43,000
- No prequalifed offers
- AZEO, 2% util
Edit:
- Likely pulled Equifax since Experian shows no pull, and from CA (according to Which report will they pull, part 2 ).
