It's been a while since I posted on here, but wanted to share some success. I started my rebuild a few years ago after I was stupid with cc's in college, and I think today signifies (possibly) that the reubuild is complete. No, I don't have a perfect 850 score, but scores are in the lower-mid 700's. After a spree a few years back to re-establish my file (I believe I was 7/24 at one point) I finally fell to 4/24 (0/6, 2/12,4/24 this morning). I've been waiting on this day to obtain another Chase card - the CSP. The reason is so I can ditch my AMEX gold but keep a light travel and dining card (fits my 2-3 flights per year and 2-3 chipotle visits a week). Since AMEX is raising the annual fee I just can't justify the card anymore even though I've been happy with the customer service and it's my main "catch-all" card. Time to move to the CSP.
I was curious if I should wait another day to app since my file just hit 4/24 this morning, but went ahead and app'd anyways... for science! Honestly, was kind of expecting a denial since I still have baddies on my file that won't age off for another 1-2 years. But I was in shock when they gave my a SL of 24,800. To be fair I have 2 other Chase cards (the FU and the Amazon card) which I always PIF (the Amazon card they approved when I was outside of the 4/24 rule btw). This is the highest SL I've ever been given - although I do have several cards above 20k at this point.. but now I use it wisely and don't carry a balance
I realize now that the subject is wrong, but the Preserve sounds better than Preferred anyways..

I want to go the same route. Which CBs did they pull?

Very common for Chase to double pull EX and TU.
Congratulations!
I am so happy you did it for science 😅!
Thank you for the insight!
Congrats
Congrats on the approval!
They are running an extremely lucrative SUB right now, I 60,000 points + $300 travel credit. That's enough to make me almost want to app for this and PC to their Reserve later. Reason being compared to other travel cards, considering $95 annual fee, you don't get a lot back like a TSA credit, etc. Chase also appears to be stingy on what benefits they carry over for the card level as I don't think it has Purchase Protection or Extended Warranty. Doordash? Big deal. So this card seems most valuable for the SUB and maybe easier approval via PC to the Reserve later which has way more benefits to justify the higher annual fee.
