Chase Slate Approved

I checked the prequal site last month and was prequalified for the Freedom and the Slate. I applied for the Freedom and was instanly approved for $3500 but received the 2 weeks message for the Slate. Called verification that following Monday and then was transfered to underwriting and they told me that was all the credit I could be extended at the time with the Freedom. So exactly 30 days later I said what the heck and checked the prequal again and the Slate was still there. Went through the process again and given the 2 weeks notice again. I just kinda figured it was gonna be the same scenario again even with my score increases and lower utilization so I wasn't too pressed to call in and verify that i did indeed put in the application. Logged on to pay my Freedom and lo and behold there is a new account for the Chase Slate for $3500. Pretty excited about that. I plan on moving my small balance from my Barclay's Apple Rewards card and SD it since i was recently denied for the US Airways card and my two recons. Probably keep the Slate open for about 6 months and move the limit to my Freedom which has been getting a lot of swipes from me. Really enjoying that card.
