 I guess the welcome package will have what bonus offer you got. Not sure if it'll tell you online but hopefully it was the 50k bonus. I got an email with the 50k bonus offer three weeks ago but it's Chase and they don't like me so why bother.

No I just got in with Amex and have to meet spending for bonus. I am going to let some inquiries and new accounts age first too. I have a bk that comes off in a few months so I will wait for that.
I fly Southwest exclusively so that card will get lots of use.

That sounds like a solid plan. Your scores will be optimal by then with your BK falling off + aged accounts. After this last approval I need to stay firmly planted in the garden till mid 2016. Dont want to spook Amex..... I hear they soft their customers a  lot.

Congrats! Actually, I don't recall my welcome package mentioning the bonus offer so you may not get that information with your card. Did you apply through a 50K link or straight from the Chase site which is currently only offering the 25K? The 50K bonus requires spending 3K in 3 months while the 25K requires 1K in 3 months.  The 50K is worth 2 roundtrip tickets pretty much anywhere in the U.S. that SW flies.

I got the 40k with $1k spend in 3 months. That was a little over a month ago.

Well that kind of sucks. I applied directly onto the website (I keep hearnig about people getting emailed a direct offer, but I wasnt one of the lucky ones) & because I wasn't paying attention I was hoping the welcome package would tell me. I'll just assume its the 25K bonus which still works fine for me. When I sign into my account I'm able to see the Rewards Program Details, but it says nothing about the bonus.
