Chase Southwest Approval!

So I got a mailer invitation to apply for the card about 2 weeks (I now realize that wasn't a preapproval), and thought what the hell... I'll just apply. So I did.  30-day message.  A week later I get a letter saying to call in for verification.  I do and am approved for 4k!  I'm in the rebuilding phase so this was great!  fast forward a week and I just got my card yesterday and I notice I applied for the wrong one like an idiot.  No 50000 points... I applied for the 10000-point bonus after I spend $500 and get a $200 statement credit. Also, not the Visa Signature Plus, but the Platinum Premier with the $99 annual fee.  I'll still take it though... I guess I wasn’t expecting to get any Chase love so I didn’t shop the deals.

Just wanted to share my excitement and vent a little.

If you want the other card, send a secure message to chase and tell them you applied for the wrong card. They will usually work with you, and maybe you can get the better bonus

Welcome to the forums! Super congrats to you on a very nice approval! $4K is a great line to start with! I'd be super happy just getting in with them, and I share your excitement! Enjoy it!

It's a no-go.  They said they cant switch me from the platinum to the signature - I'd need to reapply - but I can't have 2 of the same product, which sounds like I would need to cancel my platinum.  I'll just leave it where it is.
