Chase approval

What would be better, applying for a new chase card or requesting a CLI? i dont wanna waste an inquiry on either but just out of curiosity ... My last CA will fall off in a few months (i still have 2 6 yr old CO with $0 bal ) and wanna try to see if i can get a better limit on my freedom, i heard its better to apply for a new card with chase....any thoughts?

its up to you but i asked for a $1000 CLI on my freedom 3 weeks ago and they said no...but i got the united card last week with a $5k limit and a CSP yesterday with a $5k limit as well both visa signatures....they wouldnt give me a $1000 CLI but gave me $10k in new credit instead...so who knows with chase...whats your profile like....

your scores are much higher then mine are....but its really hard to say...if you want to try for a new card like CSP go for it then if they say no call exec office and talk to them explain whats going on

AMEX PRG; AMEX EveryDay $14,800; Freedom $6k; Sapphire $7k; IHG Select $5k; Discover $2,400; BofA Better Balance $9,100; Bank Americard $5,900; Citi DC $2,700; Citi Diamond $2,500; BestBuy $20,000; Amazon Prime $5k, United Club $15,000; Home Depot $20,000; Barclays $7,500

Total Credit Limits: $122,650

i had maybe one baddie maybe 2 but no more then 2.....i had my freedom for more then 6 months so maybe thats why and my freedom was $1500....chase gave me by biggest limits ever...my biggest was jared with a $3900 CL and BoA with a $2500 CL...so i am getting rid of alot of cards this year because of this now mostly store cards that have a HUGE APR...
