Chase freedom flex

Finally got down to 4/24 and saw I was pre-approved with Chase. However disappointed I only got a $5,500 SL.

Re: Chase freedom flex

Congrats on your approval. 5k is not a bad SL though. Enjoy your new card.

Re: Chase freedom flex

Congrats!

The 5500 probably reflects the fact that in past 24 months plus you have opened up those lines of credit. Getting past that does not equate to a 50k SLI. Give it time itll build up.

Congrats! $5.5k isn't a bad SL.

We've seen much worse...frequently $2k and even down to $500.

Re: Chase freedom flex

@Cindy90

A long observation ... in looking around it appears that Chase issues the higher credit lines/limits on their annual fee cards. The no AFs seem to receive a more conservative approach especially with a new card holder. Chase looks at performance and newness to credit in the early part of their relationships.

It looks like they reward increases after a few months of utilization. Go after an increase once you are established. Good starting limit. There have been a few $500s around for the beginning CLs.
