Citi 2X Cash CLI Recon Fails

Applied and called the same day to find I was approved for a Citi Double Cash for $4,500 on Friday, June 12th.

• The number I called was for the Recon/Credit Analyst.

I requested a CLI on two separate calls, but was denied. 

The last Rep indicated that once the card is processed it is out of their hands.  And, recommended that

I contact Customer Service and request the CLI on Monday, as it should be in that department by then.

Does that sound right???

Your best bet is to wait until your card arrives and you set up the account.  Then you can ask for a CLI online.  It will result in another HP but they can be pretty rewarding in granting the CLIs.  Ask for a high number and they will counter if necessary.
