Citi Amuses Me

 I applied for a Citi Double Cash on behalf of my mother because she had a prequal for it, despite a few medial collections.  Mind you, I have a clean file except for a 7 year old BK7 and I can't get a prequal.  That's amusing enough...  She got a SL of $1,000 (which is more than I expected, honestly), but they had trouble verifying her phone number.  Since it was later in the evening, she had no desire to call them, so we decided to verify the next day.  Well, stuff happened and we didn't get to call for about three days...  She checks her email on the 4th day, and she sees an email saying that she's been verified and her new card is on the way.  Then a few days later she got a LETTER that said her new card was on the way.  That was amusing, too.  But here's the best part...  She gets her card, and low and behold its a $1,000 World Elite MC!

I though World Elite MC had to have a minimum $5,000 CL on a new account.  Ahh well.  Go for Mom!

This is incorrect. I received my card as a World MC. It was upgraded about a year later to WEMC. Citi issues the DC as a MC, WMC, and WEMC, although it seems to be random on what people get.
