Citi Costco CLI time!

It's been 6 months since many of us got the new Costco card so I gave the CLI wheel a spin and got an additional $1,400 bringing it up to $6,900! Woot! 25% increase sounds good to me.

Data points:

Approved 6/20 with 688 EX and no derogs.

Average use $700/mo PIF

Current EX 723

Woot Woot!, take it and run Nox haha!. Not bad , gotta feel good to get some sp luv from Citi. If i ever get an auto or sp from Citi, i think ill just retire from the credit game, nothing else to strive for

Thanks AJC! I'm pretty certain it's the only SP luv I'll be getting from them for quite awhile. If I ever get that DC to a usable limit, I'll be retiring right next to you! 

Did you notice that the increase was more than my entire DC line? It made me chuckle and think of you.

Wasnt a hard pull since it stated - ---By clicking "Continue" you understand that we will obtain a credit bureau report to evaluate your request. Our credit department will notify you of our decision or let you know if we need more information.----

I've read that it will be a "hard pull" if it asks -----*Total Requested Credit Limit:"

If not, where is the the "soft pull" llink or button?

You're in the correct place. If it's going to be a SP, it will say that a credit report will not be requested. Mine was a SP. I don't think anyone has quite figured out the rhyme or reason with Citi as to when some get the SP language and some don't. I've had the Citi DC for 2 years and have had the SP language all along, but have never received a customer initiated CLI. 

Also, after it gave me the CLI, it did ask if I'd like to take a HP for a higher limit. I'm gardening though so I took what they offered and ran!

Thanks Nox....I appreciate the clarification...though...you may know this too...I have a Costco and Simplicity from Citi...both opened at the same time, can I get a CLI on both cards when the soft pull option is available or just one or the other?
