Applied for the Citi Custom Cash last Thursday. Received the 7-10 day notice. Today the notice showed up in my mailbox with a reference number. Once I checked the application status and entered the reference number, I was approved for $8K, with 0% interest for 15 monts and 18.24% after that. While not my highest SL, it is definitely my lowest APR approval to date. $8K is plenty for me for this card, though, so no complaints.
First Citi card. Have had a Citi Checking for about 6 months (mostly for the SUB).
Single HP to Experian (CA), 810 Fico 8
Showing 0/12 new revolving accounts, only because the Venture X I got last month isn't reporting yet.
Congratulations on your Citibank custom cash approval. If you don't mind what is your income that you gave on the application, with a fico score of 810 Citi is being kind of tight. I also have a custom cash with citi and my cl is stuck at 8K for past several years with fico scores all over 800 and income of 88K.
Congrats on the approval, glad you went ahead and applied. Letter obviously was just their verification process to confirm that it was actually you who applied, they do sometimes do that.
$8K is a very nice SL for a 1st Citi card BTW.

Reported income on this app was over 100K.
Worth noting that my reported average CL across 7 cards is $6200, so this 8K approval is above average for me. So I don't think Citi is being overly tight here. Also worth noting, I'm coming off a recent rebuild process, so that's why my average CL is probably low for my score.
I won't be paying interest, but this is my first approval for the lowest available interest rate, which is nice. In contrast my VX approval last month was 30K at 29%, which is a nice big SL but at their highest rate.
The limit on your VentureX is more like it but intrest rate is nuts, I do think Citi is tight with credit limit with over 100K limit at 10K is more like it at least 10% of income should be starting limit try in seven months and see what citi does on credit increase. Again Congrats on your new custom cash MC.
Congratulations on your approval! 🥳

What are you saying here? I don't get it....

What I am saying look how two different banks handle credit limits, with income of 100K then citi should have started with at least 10K limit with fico scores over 800 and Capital one gives you a credit limit of 30K and real high intrest rate. Yes you have a 30K if you every carry any kind of balance then you get into trouble with intrest rate. From time to time I will get notice that I am not using enough of credit limit then cut the intrest rate not going to over 20% to finance any thing.
Great! Congrats on your approval - enjoy your new Custom Cash!

Nicely done!! Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
