Citi DC Auto CLI strange timing?

Hey guys I tried for a CLI  oct 20th and was denied, so I waited 3 days and called the EO number and was again told sorry they can't raise it too many inquiries on my equifax ...there's 13 but 10 are from a single car dealership on a single day ... they again said sorry they can't raise the limit. So I said fine synchrony wants my business for there 2% card too and ill just stop using my Citi DC , again the lady said sorry nothing I can do, I got an email 2 days ago to login to citi I did and again it was just an explanation of the denial ... I looked at my card today to see the balance and magically I have a higher limit they auto raised the limit with no explanation or email ...lmao unreal

im not complaining I'm happy they raise it. But man what a strange way to do it lol

Discover did something similar to me. I requested CLI online and was denied, next day I found an auto CLI. I think there are two algorithms for requested and auto CLIs

Citi randomly gave me a CLI couple of days ago after over 2 years of never giving me one. Strange.

PC’d from Simplicity to DC about 2 months ago. Never used this card as a daily driver. Heck, I never even use the card. Maybe they’re in a giving mood?
