Citi Double Cash Approval, finally in.

Congrats! It took me a YEAR but I finally got a $1200 increase this month! Haha! My scores weren't fantastic when I got the card and I tried for an increase for several months after getting the card and was always denied. I kinda forgot about it until a couple of weeks ago so I MAY have gotten it sooner if I had tried. Nothing before 6 months though or not for me.

That's kind of what I was expecting, thinking if I were to get one i'd probably have to go through 5 statements or so, I'll probably just see how my credit scores look a few months from now at the least and if I'm into the 700's or something maybe give it a try.  I think if I get my public records removed from EQ and EX my chances would increase substantially, all clear from TU though.

Never hit a pre-qual ... so I took the risk and was approved for various cards. Grats on your new Citi Double Cash MC. Citi tends to be conservative in the early days so you did well!

Daily dose of Irony.

I just got a "pre-qualified" mailer today from Citi for none other than the Citi Double Cash card... haha, out of the hundreds of possible cards someone could offer me it's the one card I just got approved for 2 days ago... stuff like this never ceases to blow my mind.

And I highly doubt it's a result of me being in their system this quickly either.
