Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Over the past few years, my credit/debt has been a rollercoaster. Some ups, some downs, but recently I've gotten everything back in order, and decided that, since I haven't went for a new card since getting the Synchrony Amazon Store Card in May of last year, I could probably stand to get a new everyday card. Typically my PNC Cashbuilder has been the daily use card, then rotated a couple others depending on rewards categories. But clearly it was time.
Saw very good odds on CK, figured hey, couldn't hurt as only have a few inquiries, applied, instant approval for $7400 CL @ 16.99 APR. That'll be my highest CL at what I'm pretty certain is my lowest APR, and the 2% cash back outperforms my cashbuilder which only nets 1.5% cash back.
It pulled Experian, and reported a score of 798, which is significantly higher than CK's vantagescores of 734 TU and 736 EQ, so probably played in my favor that way. To give an idea for my credit profile in case anyone comes across this thread looking for approval odds, as I usually do:
Payment History - 100%
Util - $1100/$32000
1 derogotary (medical collection from 2015)
Aaoa - 40 months
5 inquiries
12 open, 4 closed accounts
