Citi First CLI @ 99 day mark: $6.4K to $8.9K

I was logged onto my Citi AA Platinum Select and saw I I finally had the soft pull CLI language. Account was opened on 4/20 when I got an 80K AA points promo mailer. Instant approval from $6,400 to $8,900. 

I'm surprised as I thought I had to wait 180 days for my first CLI, and this is my very first Citi card too. I also am at 3/6 as I opened the Barclays Aviator and Amex Green this summer too when they had their elevated offers. 

Back in the garden and will try to hit $10,000 in late January 2024!

Thanks! I was very surprised at the approval given the timing. I was hoping for a rise to $10,000 but I'll take it slow and steady with Citi. Ultimately I want this to get to at least $14,000 as that's what Barclays gave me for their AA card that I plan to close next year.

Thanks! I was very surprised at the approval given the timing. I was hoping for a rise to $10,000 but I'll take it slow and steady with Citi. Ultimately I want this to get to at least $14,000 as that's what Barclays gave me for their AA card that I plan to close next year.

I burned Citi some years back but they been gracious enough to approve their Best Buy Visa for me at $4000. It's getting close to 6 months with constant useage so i will try some luck at an increase on that one and will be pleased whatever they consider when i do.

I wonder if they're stricter on some cards and less so on say their co-branded ones?
