For 7k....
I was really scared. Literally, my heart was pounding, I hate wasting a HP.
After the Chase Ritz denial, I've been on edge about applying for any new credit.
I really wanted to app for another card before I went back into the garden. Since I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling this spring and summer (graduation present to myself), I decided upon the Citi Prestige for the admirals club access, complimentary night at any hotel, and annual airline credit. Citi has been good to me. ![]()

Congrats... This is going to be my next card. If you don't mind me asking, what was your score and what CRA did they used. I am sick OF everyone using experian. Thanks.
Congrats on the approval!
Congratulations! Very nice
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

@ArmyVietVet Thanks
Basically, I jumped the gun. I saw the 140k point offer and was afraid it would disappear in the new year, coupled with the fact that I wanted to get in on that airfare reinbursement like everyone else. I had some balances on my reports, but nothing astronomical in IMO, I don't think I was using over 20% of my overall credit.
I'm on a payment plan with my grad school and I get reimbursed from my job, I put most of these balances on some credit cards and I pay them off when I get reimbursed. I had just started paying them when I applied and I got the "needs further review". I recon'd 4 times to no avail. 3 out of 4 had a problem that I had balances, 1 had a problem that I had received a large amount of credit from NFCU in May. But I do appreciate all the encouragement I received to actually call in, it was informative.
@Yes, Your scores are better than mine, my TU is above 700 and my Ex and EQ are almost borderline right now, I think they pull EQ (The HP hasn't posted yet)...and that's my lowest score I think its around 686. I don't have a lot of INQs...I think maybe 2 on EQ.
Congrats! on the Citi Prestige coming thru for you! Citi is been A-OK on this end for me too.
