So I applied to this card to use for a balance transfer since it is 0% for 21 months .. need to transfer about 9k over from another card but of course they approve me for less than that so I have to wait for the card to come and then request an increase .. Will most likely cancel the card after the balance is paid off.
Well Congrats on the approval and knowing what you want from the card and not being afraid to use it for your best interests.
Congratulations!
I have been receiving so many mailer offers for Simplicity and Diamond.... would love to take advantage of balance transfer but don't due to predictable low starting limits. A shame really. I need to be approved for at least 9000 in order for it to be useful for BT. lol
Very nice.. Enjoy it.
Congrats

Congratulations!
congrats!

If you go to the Citi website and run the prequalification tool, put in Balance Transfer as your request, what turns up? If you get something like Simplicity with one APR listed (after the promotion APR of course) then the odds are good that you can get approved for that APR. If only a range of APR turns up, or there's no prequalification proposed, then you should wait longer. Keep checking back every couple of months to gauge your progress.
The Citi prequalification tool is the best feedback you will get about your chances for a Citi card.
