Citi "invited" me to request a Credit Limit Increase... so I did.

Got the email yesterday from Citi, (having just hit the 6-month mark on my Custom Cash). Was a bit nonplussed, at first, wondering why they would "invite" me to ask for a CLI and not just go ahead and drop an auto-increase on me. I finished-up my emails and broke out my phone, opened the app, found the new link at the bottom of the card page and hit it. Updated my income & rent, hit the button, (preparing myself to be disappointed because, hey, that's the way life usually works, right?) and got an $800 increase, taking my lowest-limit (and newest) card from $1,600 to $2,400. Not a lot, no, but I'm poor so I'll happily take it. Smiley Wink

My FICO scores are TU 751, EX 756, EQ 756. This and my Penfed Gold are both 6 months old and the only new cards in over a year.  New TCL is $23,900 on reported income of $21,500. Util was reporting as 14% overall (taking advantage of 0% APR periods on both recent cards) and was at roughly $600 of my $1,600 CCC limit, used several times a month and never yet PIF in any month but the first.

Been getting itchy, lately... Got a middle-rate APR offer mailer from Wells Fargo for the Reflect ('though I'd rather save that card for if/when I need a BT). I'd rather have the Active Cash. No offers in the pre-approval tool, though. Should I try for it or for a BofA or U.S. Bank card? Should I wake myself up when the nasty yellow thing is still in the sky and give a call to NFCU to open an account (my maternal grandfather was a heavy bomber pilot in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and I finally got a copy of his first DD214, 'though they never sent me his second) and see if they'll give me a card? Or should I just stay in the garden ahead of a  possible used truck purchase in the fall? Thoughts & suggestions, anyone?

@Tdatb64

Congratulations on your CLI!  I would open up an account at Navy Federal, grow your relationship and get a credit card. They are wonderfully generous after you have been with them for a little while. You'll be glad you did.
