Re: Comenity Bank- Total Rewards Visa Signature

Congrats Mia, very nice work! Enjoy your new CLI. This card has great 0% balance transfer offers from time to time. Mine is at 13k right now, and I love the card! Smiley Happy

Congrats MIA!  Curious what did you get approved for limit wise on the Virgin America card?  Heard you mention it a few times, but never saw your approval threadSmiley Happy  Mind sharing initial CL on that card?

Re: Comenity Bank- Total Rewards Visa Signature

Can I confim that Total Rewards and Virgin are SP only?  Are they SCT?  I have a Total Rewards account I set up, but I don't see how you would use a shopping card trick.  Do you have to book a hotel stay?

I learned today that Sportsman's Guide is a SP only using SCT.

All three cards EXPECT a HP for.  You might get lucky and get a SP for the SGV or Virgin America or Total Rewards, but most people get hit with HP's.  So if you cannot afford a HP or don't want one don't apply for these cards as there is a GOOD chance you will get a HP whether it is the day you appy or a few days down the road.  Just my 2 cents and as always YMMV as recent scenarios of a few people getting away with SP approvals althoug comenity "changed" their policy to supposibly be HP's for all visa/mc products.

w/regards to Total Rewards SCT just got to login site and if you are pre-approved it wil pop-up when you log in site without having to do anything else as long as they have your address.   I had the pop-up and it was a HP against my Experian report.

This was my understanding, but in another thread today, a senior member on here told me that I was wrong about these cards causing HPs.  I only asked again in this thread because I wanted to hear it from somebody else.  I am getting totally different information from senior members of this board so I'm confused.

I do understand you should be prepared for a HP if you apply for credit.  I would like to get the straight skinny, though, since there is some clear disagreement on here today.

I am not planning on apping for any of these cards at this time, but I keep a constantly updated list so when I go on my next app spree, I have my choices listed in priority order.

Re: Comenity Bank- Total Rewards Visa Signature

mia again congrats on your card!

ch7 rebuilding, yesterday I took 2 comenity Visa pop up offers. Today here are both inquiries on EQ. I wish I could have gotten in with comenity back in the day when it was visa/mc very pop up friendly.
