Confused by Sychrony...

So last week I tried the Luv button on my Walmart Mastercard and it told me I could not be approved online. I called Credit Solutions and was instantly approved for a 10,000 limit. Today i the mail I get a letter stating various reasons why I couldnt be approved. I ran right to my computer and check the account and still have a credit limit of 10,000. Confused as to why I got the letter ad wondering if they did a HP although I wasnt warned as such.

The letter was automatically generated when thhe automated system declined your CLI request.

If they said they would need permission to review your credit report on the phone, then they probably did a hard pull.

You probably got the letter from the luv button tap.  It's happened to me a couple times that way.

They did not ask my permission to review file. She asked how much of a CLI I wanted. I told her the amount. She said hang on please. Came back in about 1 minute and told me I was approved. Never mentioned reviewing file and I have not received an alert from my fico of a pull.

As already mentioned once you tap that luv button it generated a computer issued letter. That's hard coded in their system.
