You click on this page and see the same name as the last poster on each topic with 1-3 minutes between posts going back 2 pages trying to run up their post count. They copy and paste the same message. Thats bombing. If you get to know someone and give them a congrats knowing they have been trying to rebuild or get that elusive card you know they always wanted. Cool! But to spam the topics so you can have a higher post count. Its a turn off when you try to find the subject your trying to follow. Like myself and Discover tips for when my card arrives. JMHO
I got it, thank you for explaining. I do on occasion just write "Congrats". I will be mindful not to do that anymore if it's against the rules. Thanks for the inforation and explaining.
I, too, have always found the rampant "congrats" annoying when it is applied to every single thread by the same people and is totally impersonal. As in, it doesn't matter if th person got a $300 Credit One or a $10k Amex. It's always "Congrats! Thanks for sharing!".... over and over and over.
I think that as nice as approvals feel they don't really lend themselves to "discussion" very much.

If I'm understanding the OP correctly, posting it occasionally would not be a violation.
Fantastic thread here and I agree with its purpose 100%
I too like the idea that someone mentioned above of putting a minimum time limit on how quick you can submit another post after posting. Say it's 5 minutes. For these guys that are willing to spend 20 minutes of their life "bombing" 20 different threads with the same generic macro post every minute, they'd now have to invest 1 hour and 40 minutes to accomplish the same feat. I don't feel many would be willing to do that for 20 posts on their count.

Not at all. I was on at 4am EST reading this am. Each time I backed out. The name was moving down the list top to bottom on page 1. I followed them to page 2. I only post for questions and advise. Thats what brought me here. And from the great members. Thats what got me to where I'm at 1 yr post BK. Could be called spamming also.
Thank you so much for Posting this Valuable Information
, i had NO idea
, The funny thing is that i was Congratulating as many people as possible mainly because i tend to feel sorry for people, i don't know why i am this way and i felt sorry for some people especially when they would post an approval and they would get 0 Congratulations or they would get almost 0, also i am the type of person that either i Congratulate Everybody or Nobody, i don't like to Congratulate some and NOT others, Another thing that i was doing is making sure i give 1 Kudos to Every Single person that would Post an Approval, Again i did that to make the person feel even better about their post, After all nobody likes ungrateful people or Ingrates, People like nice people or at least i like nice people but now that i know the Rules much better, From now on i would probably Congratulate 2 or 3 and that's it, Life would be much easier and simpler for me, since i don't like writting too much, Anyways, Thank you ![]()
Thanks to everyone for the clarification. I don't think I've been that person. I do tend to congratulate people when they get an approval for a card that I like/want, more to be an encouragement and friendly, but I also sometimes just give a kudos. I think I mix it up, and don't even come close to mass posting. If any of you mods see me going over the top, just let me know. I want to be myself, but also want to respect the forum guidelines. ![]()

Im not sure how I feel about this...
People are not gonna want to post now for fear they will be "bombing". I for one will sometimes get on a kick and throw out a ton of Congrats, good jobs, awesome, whatever...because Im just feeling overly excited at that time, and excited for posters approvals, but I also post all over the forums as well.
I in turn, whenever I post in the approval section, get equally excited seeing all my congrats in my threads. Makes me feel like people like what they are seeing, and like me as a poster as well.
Whats the point in posting a CLI, or new CC approval now if people can congratulate you!
now..the part I do agree with is the meaningless congrats 100x all the way down the approvals section. Ive seen a few posters do that, and have no other contribution other than that...Ive not see that poster in the CC section, or anywhere else either on the forums.
For the record...People...Its ok to post congrats on my threads! LOL
+1. Well said...
I also would like you to congratulate me too when I get an approval!!!! Lol...
In all seriousness when ever I do congratulate someone, I truly mean it.
