I would PC the Platinum to the BofA Travel Rewards Visa Signature card and apply for cards from other major banks. I do not like to put my eggs in the same basket. Chase Freedom for the 5%, Discover IT for online shopping and 5% categories, Barclays Arrival as travel card, Amex BCP/BCE for groceries, new Everyday Amex, etc

The best would be to let us know what you are looking for :  miles that can transfer to airlines, hotels, or rather cash back.  In case you get Chase Freedom I would recommend to consider CSP 6 months after approval if you are looking for a card that can transfer to partner programs.

edit: Sallie Mae for the 5% as additional to complement BofA cash rewards

Just wanted to update everyone on how everything went. Decided to apply for the BofA Travel Rewards card. Got the 30 day message and called in, just had a fraud alert since I moved recently so talked with the fraud department. Answered some questions and was approved for $2500. Wasn't happy with that so spoke with a credit analyst and asked for $5000 to match my Cash Rewards card they pulled a second report and I was approved for $5000.

Just decided to keep it within BofA for now, probably gonna have myself taken off the joint account card so I can grow the limits on my individual cards. Planning on requesting CLI's to $10000 on both cards in 6 months.
