No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I am in the process of rebuilding my credit and received outstanding odds on a few cards so I decided to just go for it. I know they aren't "good" cards, but I did it anyway. Credit Karma prepopulated my info and I was approved. There was no credit limit, no email, nothing. All I got for each card was a congrats message saying the card will be sent within 14 days. Is this normal? I didn't recieve a message from the card companies either. In fact, if I hadn't taken screenshots, I would think I made it all up in my head. Did anyone else experience something similar? Did you get your card?
I've gotten loans through CK and each time hitting the "continue" button directed me to the lender's web site to fill in the application.
I've never gotten a card, but just tried going through the initial steps and got exactly the same, it took me to the issuer's page to fill in the app. Since each lender has a different process, it would help if you knew which cards you applied for. When I applied for loans, after I was approved, the full details were shown (interest rate, length, payment, etc.) and I had to agree to those to accept the loan. I'm surprised it would be any different for a card.
It was a Destiny card and a Milestone card. I will put the screenshots.
Congrats.
If you are too anxious to wait for the card to arrive, try calling them to verify.
Congrats on the approvals!
Um... you do realize that they probably charged you a "security deposit", right?
With Destiny... they will probably put a 175 charge on your 1st month statement
And with Milestone... they will probably put a 250 charge on your 1st month statement
Destiny is usually a 700 dollar limit
Milestone is usually a 1000 dollar limit
It varies from customer to customer, so maybe they didn't give you a security deposit.
But, odds are... they probably are going to charge you something on the 1st statement.
Having said that, for some people, this is still a good card to get when you're building credit. If you maintain good standing, then it will help build your credit in the future...
😂 I don't know why I didn't think of this but I called and found out the limits and last 4 of the card numbers. Lol. Thank you for helping me with literal common sense
Thank you for the insight.
Congrats on the approvals, though I would generally not put a lot of stock going forward in the Credit Karma approval odds. For the most part it's mainly marketing because they want to get paid for referrals. You can make the case that if you see Karma guarantee that's a probable approval, but in general I would put little stock into the approval odds they provide. CK is best used primarily for monitoring Transunion and Equifax credit reports.

That’s Terrific!! Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
