Credit One... Increase (trap)?

I'm planning on finally closing, Credit One Crap this week...

I just login to make sure my balance was zero. Then, I seen a message saying I'm pre-approved for a free increase yada Yada.

01/01/2016 CONFIRMATION: Your credit line increase of $250.00 has been approved and applied to your account. Your new credit line of $1150.00 is available for immediate use. Our systems will fully reflect your increase within 24 hours.

My Question is did I mess up, and do you think they hard or soft me????

At least it'll show a higher limit on my closed account for 10yrs.

If your pass the need for Credit One and it's not helping you in anyway anymore, then close it. Get that account closed by consumer, it's a mark of progress Congrats on your CLI.

Same thing happened to me when I closed all my sub-prime cards. I received a letter from each of them about a pre-approved CLI. I threw it in the trash and went about my day.
