Tried last year to get approved but kept getting shot down but today was approved for 8500! The app said rates were from 10-22% and I asked what my rate was and its 22.9 which seems kinda high. thought I would at least be around 14 range. Anyone else have high rates with discover?
Congrats on that starting limit!!
My rate is high with them (can't remember the number), but I don't carry a balance so I haven't tried to get them to lower it.
Congrats! Not sure I pay in full so never payed attention. Thanks in sharing.

Discover has been known to take requests for rate reductions and actually approve them. A recon or show them some card usage and then request.
^^^ This. I callled to see if there was any available promos for my account recently and they reduced my APR from 17.99% to 12.99%. So if that APR bothers you, simply call the day the 12 month promo ends and request a reduction.
Congrats! Not sure what my APR is either, but plan to PIF and make it meaningless.
congrats

Grats & welcome to the Discover family.
I started with 20.9 now 18.9 you can ask for adjustment every 12 months, my 2nd request to adjust will be in May.
