Currently rebuilding my credit after many late payments a while back and was wondering if should try for new credit to gain more positive payment history. Checked out the Discover prequal site on the recommendation of a community member. Did some additional research on here and decided to see if anything came up. I was pre-approved for the Cash Back card and Gas & Restaurants card. Showed me 14 mos 0% with 20.99% after, which seemed like a good sign. Pulled the trigger on the Cash Back and... approved for $6500! This is my highest credit limit to date! So grateful for the support and encouragement of the community here. Couple DPs in the hopes that this helps someone else:

Single pull - EX 726 (my Experian app notified me immediately of the pull). Quite a few late payments in my credit file with Cap1 that will take a few years to fall off. This is very encouraging though!
