UPDATE:
Called Disco back today to see what the heck was going on (still couldn't check the status of my application online). Was told by the rep that in fact both applications had cancelled out and that a phone number wasn't listed on either. She advised me she would send me over to a Team Associate immediately so they could process my application over the phone and give me an immediate answer instead of applying again online. Was then told by the next associate that the applications weren't real applications and only prequals. I advised her that the site might need some updating then because I could have sworn I hit apply and was brought to the application screen. I mean, I know the difference between a prequal and a real application (prequals don't ask about income and all that). So, she went ahead and processed my information and results??
INSTANT APPROVAL - 6.5K SL!!
Card expedited and will receive in mail within 3-5 business days!
I am totally psyched and definitely going back to gardening after successful approval of two prime cards with much larger limits than I was granted previously (was also instantly approved for Citi DC at $6.1K SL!). Thank you fellow forum members for all the help and feedback! It goes to show you that all the hard work does start paying off!
LESSON: Anyone else going through a similar situation with Disco, make sure you communicate with them on the status of your application. It may take a bit, and even a few phone calls, but it's worth it in the end. Don't give up! I've heard by many that Disco is one of, if not, their favorite card in their wallet. So far, my experience with their Customer Service department has been wonderful as well.
