Applied for Discover IT card on 6/21 and approved and received card on 6/29. CL $5,500. Haven't heard much about Discover, other than many merchants do not accept card . Still happy to have card to add to my growing card family

Congrats on the approval, but I should say that during the last 2 months that I was using mine (for the 5% on restaurants) I didn't come across any that wouldn't accept Discover.

I did see a number of smaller places that very clearly stated they did not accept American Express though. Probably won't use it for Q3 because I don't really buy home improvement stuff very often, and already have what I need to finish my current projects.
