Discover CLI

Just paid off a BT I put on my Discover card so decided to hit the love button. $500 increase to $11000.  Not gonna try DDing this time around. I asked for a CLI a couple weeks ago but was denied. Insufficent exp at current level.

Congrats! Nice limit. “Insufficient experience with current credit line” seems to be their default denial reason lately lol. I’ve seen a lot of those around these here threads

Good job, @Meanmchine!  That will help provide a little more cushion for your BT! 

If you haven't already don't forget to see if they can put you on a 0% promo for purchases... that way you can continue to use the card for a while (usually 12 months) while you're paying down the BT without messing up the BT promo (this worked like a charm for me a few years back).

Also, FWIW my first big CLIs with Discover came after I paid my BT in full... YMMV, of course, but something to keep in mind.

I just got that exact reason in my mailbox!

They did finally increase me from $2200 to $3300 after 18 months of perfect payment history.
