I decided to hit the love button my Discover IT. It had been stuck at $1800 for nearly two years now and I was seriously considering condemning it to the dustbin but it is also one of my oldest revolvers. About a month ago, I called in an expressed my frustration and they gave a 0% APR promo for 12 months so I decided to keep it around...for now. They also mentioned that I could keep trying for a CLI every 30 days.
I hit the CLI button and they offered a paltry $300. A little disappointed, but not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, I accepted. I then called into customer service and explained to the nice lady in their Credit Operations department I was looking to use the card to finance a large purchase. She offered me an additional $700.
Total CLI is now $2800!! Now if only AMEX would show me some love... gotta wait until June due to their 90 day rule afterbeing declined for a CLI.
