Thank you all for the congrats! I was just as suprised to even get the CLI, since my overall util has been pretty high lately (~30%) and I haven't been using the card much.
The Discover It has now overtaken my SD'd Penfed Platinum Rewards (13,500) as my highest credit line ![]()
Congrats OP

Now you have more buying power than ever with your Discover card."
Opened the card in feb 2012 with a 2500 line, got an auto CLI in December 2012 to 2700, then requested and got a CLI in March 2013 to 5000, and now this!
It's stories like this that give me some hope with Discover. I haven't been too happy with their CL policies since applying for the card in the first place. I got a card in Feb 2013 with a $2500 limit, which was far less than the $20K-$28K that most of my cards had at the time of the application. Since then they have auto-CLI'd me every quarter for nominal amounts:
Q1: $250 (Really guys?)
Q2: $750 (Better trend, but have you seen my other cards?)
And last night:
Q3: $500 (Again, nice to see it but not blowing wind up my skirt).
So my CL now is $4000. I'm assuming that when my year anniversary comes I'll be granted another one but I really want an interest rate decrease since it's out of line with my other products (and therefore makes me less likely to use it). We'll see.
