Congrats on the approvals! Even if you dont shop at walmart, you get your free tu score.
I wouldnt contact the cap1 EO just yet. If your card hasnt reported yet, its less than two months old. A little early to be hassling them for a cli. You should get a credit steps cli at 6 months (prob to 500 or 750) then I would contact then.
This is not always true. I had just got approved for my cap one cash rewards card and called for a cli denied for account being just opened (thats what it said in the letter). I EO it thru there facebook site and put them on blast in my comment. Well a couple days later got an increase from $500 to $1500, that is after talking with cap one eo rep. Take note my secured card was pif and i had already run $600-$700 thru my cash reward in less then a month and pif so i had no balance but a track record of using the card often.
Ok...you don't want to shop at Walmart?
Could this be why you got into financial issues in the first place? Why pay more for the exact same item somewhere else? Sorry not getting your logic here when you seem to be so careful about getting the best deal on a credit card but not equally applying ther same level of scritiny on where you use it.

Cap1 deff going in the sock drawer for now, debating whether to wait email the EO until the Discover card shows on my report. Can anyone PM the email address they've had success with?
Yep do that!
and put the Capone 1 into a 0 reporting balance when you email the EO. ask shoot for the sky! 3ks atleast!
NotTellinYou - Me not shopping at Walmart isn't a snobbery thing, we simply don't really have Walmarts around us and I'm not going to drive 20+ miles to a Walmart when there is a Target and numerous grocery stores all withing 3 miles of my house. Also, I've never any financial issues I'm simply a twentysomething with a thin file which was why it was hard for me to start building a revolving credit history. My "baddies" were two extremely small copays from doctor visits in college I wasn't aware of (my parents took care of our medical bills while their kids were still in college) and I took care of them as soon as I knew about them. But thanks for the assumption that I'm a shopping snob who can't handle my money, that was very nice of you.
And thanks to everyone else! The Cap1 only has a $20 balance that I'll pay off then it's hitting the SD till Discover reports. I'm going to wait to ask for my CLI/PC just to show some more positive history + Discover's luv for me shows; don't want to ask for too much too soon since I feel like I've been really lucky in the last few days. And here's some juice from my new Hamilton Juicer I ordered from Walmart, enjoy!
