Discover Secured

So, 6 months ago I couldn't get ANY credit at all.  I tried my local credit union and nothing!  I was depressed.  So I decided to open up a secured card with Discover.  I deposited $500 and made my payments on time.  I logged on to my account this month to make my payment and I noticed that my credit line was $1800 -Could this be a mistake?  I called and it was definitely not a mistake, I GRADUATED!  Yay, I got my $500 deposit back and the new line is reflecting on my report.

So, today I thought I would try the Kohl's prequalify AGAIN lol - came back "prequalified" but I've seen "prequalify" many times with Kohls and always ended up in a denial.  Took me through the security questions and I was approved for $300 YAY!  I'm super excited.  This is my first real Store card.  Now, if I can just get my Student Loans down (sigh) 

Thank you for all your help this past year, it's been a tough one (credit wise)

Congrats on your Disco Graduation and the Kohl's approval! I know what it feels like to finally be approved and feel like I'm back on track! Good for you! Enjoy!
