My first ever credit card in the US of A, Discover just offered me my first real* (legit) CLI!

I got the card in May 20414 with 1k CL and ZERO credit history, asked for CLI in December (with HP) and got $500.

Today I checked my online Discover and my 1,5k CL jumped to 4k!

Gad that Discover is now in my top 4!

Delta Amex 6k - CSP 5k - Freedom 4,5k and Discover 4k.

I still remember when my total CL was $2,500 in November 2014 (before I started with Freedom)... now I have $23,000! I hope I am not risking any AA though!

The good thning is that I don't need to freak out and pay several times a month each of my cards!

I checked my CR and Discover did not soft pull me at all!

I was in the garden after I got my CSP last week (with tons of new accounts) but the auto CLI is nice to get!

Next apps will probably be a Citi AA and Amex EDP after the summer.

congrats! did you have credit in another country? I wonder if they took that into consideration. I'm surprised they gave you a line of credit with 0 history. That being said, no small feat to have Discover auto CLI. good work!

I am from France and we don't use credit the same way there.

I used to have a 1,000 euros credit line attached to my checking account only when it goes overdraft and my friends considered that it was huge. For exemple my parents have 3,000 euros revolving credit and it is A LOT!

Discover likes thin files with no baddies or no credit at all.

I had to send them a copy of my GC and my SSN though.
