After 10 months good old discover has finally matched my current highest Amex CL. Not sure if it's a coincidence, a routine 10% increase, or an attempt to match my current highest. But after two denials for CLI request they finally gave in. YAY!
My next question is I wonder if now might be the best time to request another CLI????
Will requesting right after an auto increase be advisable?

Congratulations on your credit limit increase!

I would request a SP CLI ... wouldn't recommend a HP, for sure. Maybe the automated phone CLI?

Has there been evidence that automated phone can improve the chances? I tried requesting about a month ago and it said I was not qualified at this time. Then discover sent a letter listing about a dozen reasons for the denial. Fast forward today I received the increase.
Congrats on getting Discover to 'cough' it up..... ![]()

Kenny, do you recommend the completed phone cli request or the half way hang up request?

I've always hung up if needed to speak with human. But -- that's just me. I don't care if I get the CLI or not with Discover. 12k is high enough for me.
Congrats on the increase
