Discover it ! Approval with low CLI...

Hello!! Happy new year to everyone! I got apporved for my 2nd credit card- DISCOVER IT(i received an offer in the mail)!!! However they gave me a low CL: 1,000$ which initially disappointed me but I suppose this is most likely due to the fact that  I am relatively new to credit(3 months) ... My 1st credit card is the BofA  cash rewards with a CL of 4,000 $ (since October 2014) and I love it so far! I am planning to pay off my BofA card in the next 3-4 months and keep a low balance on my discover it card and then either  apply for chase freedom or request a CLI for Discover. What do you think is better to do first:  CLI or new credit card?
