Discover surprise!

So i had requested a CLI on my discover card since it’s usually a soft pull love button and i got declined for “lack of experience with current credit line”. same old thing i always get.

The funny thing is that two days later (today) when i get in snail mail the decline letter, i also get an email notifying me that they’ve increased my credit limit by $3000! went from $5,700 to $8,700 after being declined two days ago lol.

Usually i get $200-$500 here and there from discover but i suppose they are feeling giving for this season. ;-)

Congrats on the CLI Love! i just hit the love button today and got a 5,500 CLI. i tried a couple of months ago and i got the ole not enough experience letter. i actually hit the love button 3 months in a row one time just to see what they would do and oddly they gave and increase each time. not real sure what they are actually looking at.

im pretty sure it’s super random! i just found it odd that i would get denied the CLI and two days later just get it without trying haha. i think for them, they either want to see a lot of spending on their cards and hardcore payments.
