Re: Discover

I think with a score of 691 you should qualify for an unsecured card with Discover.  Have you tried using their pre-qualification to see if anything comes up for you?

Re: Discover

I say try it. I got in with 628 two months ago and a few baddies. discover is a crap shoot though. Maybe if you don't get it, you can apply for secured right after and it may only count as one pull? Idk if they counter with secured anymore.

Re: Discover

I don't know. Discover didn't offer me the secured when they turned me down. At time my score was 690. My denial reason "too many new accounts""too many recent credit inquires"

Re: Discover

Do you have many new accts? I've found Discover to be a little more lenient if there aren't many new accts. In my case they were unforgiving until my reports were spotless.

Re: Discover

It seems American Express, Discover and Citi are trying to steal Capital One Customers. You don't need a 720+ to get those cards from what I see at this boards.
