Do I have the largest Freedom CL?

I'll admit this is a total brag, but I'm just so excited and have to get it out somewhere :-D

I've been gardening for a few months, and had a Chase United with a $35K limit that's been in the SD for some time... So seeing as my 5th newest card fell off of the 2 year mark today, I finally became eligible to apply for a Freedom as I was no longer a victim of the dreaded 5/24 rule.

Got an instant approval for $12K, called in and asked for an expedited card (no problem) and a recon on the CLI (figured I'd try!). The rep said it'd be another HP so I decided not to bother, but she offered to move some of my United limit to my Freedom.

I now have... drum roll... $46,000 limit on the Freedom! And just $1000 on the United. I'll probably cancel the United at some point, but it's in the SD for now :-)

Pretty exciting to me to see such a huge limit on a single card! I am curious if anyone has seen a larger limit on a Freedom...?

Sweet! And congrats. Chase can be amazing about moving limits around to give you BIG CLs. Nice one.

Congrats on your approval... Nope there are people with higher Fredom CL's than yourself..  Although you are up there.

First, congrats on the Freedom approval!

Second - more of a heads-up comment. Don't forget that the Freedom has a $1500 quarterly spend cap for their bonus categories. Having a huge CL (while very nice to see) is somewhat wasted because of the cap. Chase gave me a $20K starting limit on my Freedom --- I quickly redirected $15K of it to my CSP (ensuring that I keep $5K on the Freedom to maintain Visa Signature status).

Yep, I'd do exactly that if I had a CSP to begin with! To me it's more about putting an already-generous line to some sort of use by having a good card worth using (not the United) and by having a high limit, I can maintain low utilization and my credit score/report will look good :smileyhappy
