Doin' the Double...NFCU and Penfed Approvals!

So here I was about to take gardening seriously...but...seriously?! Decided to head back out and open some new doors, since I'm gonna need to clear the deck for the next 12-24 anyway...so why not!

1) Opened new membership with Penfed, checking with starter $500 overdraft loc and premier savings. Applied for the Platinum Rewards Visa...approved $12k SL.

2) New membership with NFCU, savings and checking, with a humble $500 cloc, and applied for the More Rewards Amex...approved $10k SL @11.15%

Foot in the door, so I'm hoping to revisit Navy for the Flagship, and Penfed for the Power Cash, possibly in about 6 months, and/or check for offers and follow-up with CLI's. Wasn't sure how any of this was gonna turn out given the high number of new accounts and Inq's that I've piled up over the past 60 days! Whew

Congrats on the double back-to-back approvals with PenFed and Navy FCU!

I did something almost identical in November at the end of numerous recent applications. I opened new accounts and got cards as a new member, approved for both with similar results! Letting it all age a little and tracking my days until going for CLI or additional cards!

I've been very pleased so far with both and glad to have them as financial allies. Welcome!
