Spoke to the EO Friday about CLI for my two QS1 cards, as I want to use them for work travel expenses (and $500 each wasn't going to cut it). I asked for $5k each, and to switch them to the 2x miles instead of the 1.5x cash.

I got the 2x miles, and then today (some time in the ladt hour) I got CLIs on both QS1s... Its only $1k total CL for each card, but one is barely two months old and the other one's first payment isn't due until the 27th.

They also refunded the annual fee for a year!

I'm stoked! Now I'm about to go hit the luv button just to see what happens

Did they PC you to the Venture card? I have never heard of being able to get 2% on the QS and pay no annual fee. That makes it as good as Cit DC and Fidelity AMEX. Would love for this to be true! I would PC my Venture and Venture One accounts to 2% QS accounts.

Please confirm. This sounds too good to be true.

I still have an annual fee, they only refunded the first year of the annual fee for both cards (not permanent) - they are still QS1 cards. They did change my rewards structure from the 1.5% cash to the 2x miles. (Also, I am not eligible for the 40,000 mile bonus on $3k spend.)

I still wouldn't mind the Citi DC card at all, as you can redeem the cash for anything, not just travel.

It's probably the Venture card, which will have an annual fee after the 1st year.

QS/QS1 cards don't get miles.

I still have an annual fee, they only refunded the first year of the annual fee for both cards (not permanent) - they are still QS1 cards. They did change my rewards structure from the 1.5% cash to the 2x miles. (Also, I am not eligible for the 40,000 mile bonus on $3k spend.)

It'll probably show up as Venture in a few days.

Just because he had QS1s doesn't necessarily mean he got a PC to a Venture. The EO can do some weird things, I had a regular MasterCard with 19$ annual fee that had the 2x miles. Only the reward structure changed. Once I was getting 2x miles on my MC I tried calling customer service to see if they'd PC me to a Venture. They couldn't and they too were stumped how this card had 2x miles.
