I ALWAYS get double pull by Citi and Chase for some reasons. I have been their customer for years now. Granted, part of the time I was AU on the account. Whenever I apply for one of their cards they always pull both EQ and EX. Just wondering if anybody out there who have done business with Chase or Citi for quite sometime but still get double pull by them when you apply for a credit card? It's crazy and I'm lierally scared to apply for any of their cards again. I'm not on the so called "borderline". I feel like sometimes I might as well just apply for Crapital One.

I've been a customer of theirs for years. Yet, I've been only pulled once. From a review process consideration, there may be certain stipulations whereby they can use two CRs to leverage any type of decision, and "borderline" has nothing to do with it. In some cases it does, but not always.
It has been the same with me and my wife for apps with them but not for CLIs.

Yup, CLI is either a pull on EX or soft for me.
Good to know I'm not the only one. The thing that really borthers me is that there is literally no difference between my EX report and EQ report. All those pulls just gone to waste. Ugh Chase and Citi ... Y U NO JUST PULL 1! ![]()
Citi tends to double pull experian and equifax for me. Chase pulls Experian usually but I got a experian/equifax double pull when I applied for 3 cards last month.
Citi for me has always pulled EX only except for their SP CLIs, which they use EQ reports for. It's kinda frustrating considering that my EX report is the worst considering how many inquiries I have on it like when I wanted to PC to the Double Cash and they wouldn't let me so I actually had to apply for the card and got denied for too many inquiries in the last six months basically. It was a decision not even the EO could override. Since then, I have not had a single new inquiry on my EX report at all and it was early September I tried going for the Double Cash.
Chase has been just EQ with their cobranded cards and for the Chase Freedom, they did try doing a double pull on EX and EQ.
Chase has double pulled (EQ & EX) on all my apps and I have a CPC relationship with them as well as having had the Freedom for over 15 years. Citi has only pulled Ex for 2 cards and I didn't have any banking history with them until I just very recently opened a Citi Gold account. My scores are usually near or over 800, high HHI so I just assumed Chase double pulled because I'm a SAHM (even though the CPC account money is my own individual assets in my name only).
