Not sure what's scaring them about you? A starting limit of $2,000 does seem low. I have a similar profile/income/assets and my starting limit on my Fidelity Amex was $15,000 in August and I just got approved for a $10,000 CLI to $25,000 via their online luv button, with just two statements having been cut.
You definitely will need to call them on Monday. Good luck!
I assume it was a HP? Or do they do SP increase as well?

It was definitely a HP....on TU. But I knew that before pulling the trigger. I doubt they do SP CLIs.
