FNBO MLIfe

I applied for this card in August 2018 with 3 inquiries, 5/24 (and 12) for new accounts, and was I denied for too many recent inquiries.  I also had 2 open (very small) collections, and it had been 10 months since my last 30 day late.  Utilization was probably 1%.  EX was about 660.

I got a mailer for the card a couple weeks ago.  After impulsively submitting the app, I realized it was a marketing thing (from MLife, apr range, "pre-selected" to apply...).

Stats at time of app:

EX Inq: 6/10/20 (in 6/12/24 months)

New accounts: 7/19/37 (in 6/12/24 months)

EX was 693 when they pulled it.
Util~18-20% depending on the day

Income is $108k

Imagine my disbelief when I got an email a few days later contgratulaing me on my new MLife card with a $7,000 SL.  The card has arrived, been activated and used so I guess it's for real.   I still don't really believe it though.

Spurred by this obvious glitch in the matrix, I then went 0/5384995 on CLI requests LOL.  Good to know things are back to working as expected.

Anyway-while not a big draw for most, this has been a goal card for me. I'm shocked but thrilled at the approval and the SL (not my highest but also nowhere near my lowest-avg is about $5k).

Re: FNBO MLIfe

Thanks all!

And on the DP's, the two collections ($393 & $79) were paid and removed from my reports about a year ago.

I have had 2 paid charge-offs on my reports as well.  I believe those were still on my EX file when FNBO pulled it this time (They aged off in the last week though - so quite a bit older and no lates at all since that same one in 10/17).

Not a clean file even if they weren't there, but better.

I don't think C/O's from 7 years ago factored into any lending decision as much as my bazillion new accounts and inquiries though.  That may not have been the case in 2018.
