Hello,
On late Wednesday night, I checked the Chase pre-approvals and I finally got a result! So I went to apply for the Freedom card. I received the 30 day message. I called in and it said 30 days, and then the next day I called again and it changed to 7-10 days. It stayed there. However, I received a letter in the mail yesterday from Chase, asking me to call in to verify the application. Of course, I didn't read the letter until 5:30 Pacific time and the Fraud office closes at 5 PM.
So I called in this morning and they asked if I submitted the application. Then they texted a code to my phone, which I read back to the agent. She then said she would process the application and provide me with the results. She immediately came back and said I was approved for $12K!
I was a bit surprised, given that I might still exceed 5/24. My VentureOne (which I closed and merged into my QS) opened 2 years ago on the 10th and TU shows that I've opened 4 other accounts in the past 2 years (Marvel MC, BBR #2, CashForward, and Chase Disney). However, Chase pulled both TU and EX (which shows Blispay as opening at the same time as Marvel MC). I also opened a CLOC with NFCU about 10 months ago. But I'm not going to complain about it.
Time to update my siggy...
Doggone Chase. They are so insistent to be double pull happy with some of us. Citicards does the same on me too.
The best positive are the results. Looks like the approval + limit might just take some of the sting out the 2 HPS.
Congratulations on the new Freedom Approval! Awesome card IMO.

Thank you! Chase's core offerings have been my last hold out, so I'm not too upset over the double pull. For my Disney app, they only pulled EX.

With the method i use to spread apps apart i doubt i will ever see another core card from them again but that's ok. If they ever do the Chase Freedom is been walked up the limit ladder and besides it's one of my favorites anyway.
Congratulations on your new card and nice sl too. Dv
Congratulations, that's a great starting credit line!
