I met with my Fidelity investement advisor yesterday to go over the usual portfolio stuff and while we were discussing different products, his system displayed I had two Fidelity card pre-approvals (the VISA and AMEX). So, I mentioned that I already had the AMEX (plus other BOA CCs) but then after looking a bit closely he confirmed it was for the Private Client version (didn't know you could have both!). Needless to say, my arm was twisted, again ![]()
It went into pending status, then a quick call from his office to the Dedicated UW team got it all sorted out in less than 5 minutes (address/ID verification) - $20,000 approval. Then, we had a discussion about the $200 AF and he was going to get it waived once the account # was generated (I have substantial assets with BOA and ML/Fidelity). So, now I'm considering (possibly) combining both Fidelity AMEX CLs - the UW analyst (who gave me his ext#) mentioned it could be done and likely won't have to do a 2nd HP (approval was EX and CLIs/reallocations are typicaly TU). The account showed up this morning already linked to my existing FIA profile. BOA is just amazing!
Sorry joedtx, couldn't pass up the AF waiver ![]()
***Update as of 5/20/15***
So, per Creditaddict's nudge and guidance in the most recent posts, I decided to follow up with the UW contact I spoke with a couple days ago about consolidating both Fidelity cards into one account and keeping the Private Client AMEX. I had also asked about a CLI to $50K (just to even things out I suppose) and after a back and forth for about 25 minutes while he reviewed the overall BOA/FIA/ML relationship, etc - approved for consolidation and new CL $50,000. Thanks Creditaddict ![]()

Congrats FinStar. Good limit and lots of potential. Good to see your accounts with them paying off.

Thanks Irish
At first I had to consider the AF (besides the other CCs with Afs I just got approved recently), but after he was willing to get me the AF waived, I was like SOLD - what do I need to press! ![]()
Congrats, Fin!
